Courtney Lavender – Administrator / Consultant
Courtney has been in the recruitment industry for 11 years, where she specialised in temporary and permanent recruitment, client and candidate care and general administration.
Courtney got her break in the recruitment industry with a consulting firm in Brisbane back in 1996 as a Receptionist. In 1998 she became a Personal Assistant to the Psychologists, Recruitment Consultants and Manager until her departure in June 2000.
After relocating back to Mackay in June of 2000, Courtney was employed with a labour hire firm, again starting as a Receptionist. Her time with this company saw her promoted to an Office Administrator and in 2003 a Recruitment Consultant.
As a Consultant, Courtney looked after various labour hire vacancies and also took on permanent recruitment for clientele based in Mackay and the Bowen Basin. Here she was involved in organising advertising for vacancies through the Mackay Daily Mercury, Seek, CareerOne and My Career. She collected and perused applications, completed reference checking, and organised candidate and client interviews.
Courtney takes pride in her care for Clients requirements and Candidates needs. She works on weekly, fortnightly and monthly checks on all candidates that she sends out to work. If they have gone permanent with a particular client, she ensured that flowers or a “congratulations” package were sent on the 1st day of their new job.
Courtney believes that to do a job right, you have to have enthusiasm, integrity, experience and the persona to take on any challenge.
